I am a Lady that cannot be Ignored

I am a Lady that cannot be Ignored

There is a story in the Bible that has not ceased to give me comfort and courage each time I remember my story as a little young girl, who came from the family of four, all girls. There was a family in Israel, a man named Zelophehad had five daughters; Mahlah, Noa, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah and had no son at all.

While sharing inheritance, they did not recognize this family because;

  1. Their father (Zelophehad) had died
  2. They are all girls, no inheritance for girls…thank God these ladies took a step that move God to bring about a NEW LAW.

These five girls went to meet Moses, Eliezer the priest, the leaders of Israel and the congregation to present a case about their inheritance. This was what they said;

“Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.”

These wonderful ladies exude great wisdom and humility, they are articulate and knows how to marshal their point, to the extent that Moses had to take this case to God. See God’s response in verses 6-7

 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,  “The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.”

And God did not just stop there, He also because of this step they took made a new law. May I be that kind of lady, whose words cannot be ignored and can move God to action.

“And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren. And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses.”

These are trailblazers. I love these ladies. Daughters that can make God to give a fresh instruction. I want to be that lady whose prayers/request will move God to action, order the entire universe to favour me, whose words will be articulate, seasoned with grace and shining as light.

Another thing to note is that The Bible seldom gives detail about the background of a person, except it is needed and exceptionally impacting, even Elijah, till today, we don’t know anything about his lineage, other than Elijah the Tishbite. But in the case of these wonderful bold ladies, the Bible documented the background about their lineage, “Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph…” They were too important to be ignored.

I pray for you young woman, may you be that kind of lady.

Because we were girls, my dad had to marry another woman to give him boys. Since I understood what that means, I told myself, we will all do well, and the story of these wonderful ladies gave me courage.

Have you been ignored because you are not rich? Are you looked down upon because you are junior in rank or in position? Are you pushed aside because you are a female? Do people see you as inferior and less important?…

Whatever and however people think or view you, you must know your worth and view yourself differently. Walk out of their perspective and walk in the true light of who God has called you, II Peter 2:9. This season, the Lord will give you wisdom and courage to take the bold step that will lead to your rising in Jesus name.

Welcome into stardom!

Confession: I am a lady of honour and great value. My words are seasoned with the power of God, hence cannot be ignored. I receive grace to speak right as God declared of the daughters of Zelophehad. Great men will marvel at my words and exploit, kings and queens will come to my rising. The light of God that brings about prominence for glory shall bring me into greatness and peace. I receive wisdom to dominate, grace to be humble and not fumble, power to be wise and rise. Amen!

If you have not found the Light of God, which is Jesus Christ, come to Him now. Confess your sins to Him and surrender your life to Him and He will transform your life.

God bless every Princess in this House! I love you all.
