Gen 24:67 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+24%3A67&version=NIV gave an account that Isaac took Rebecca into her mother’s tent, this place signifies 3 things in the life of a man:
- A place of Baton Exchange : This is a place of covenant where the wife picks up the baton from where the mother drops it to take the man to a fulfilled state
Exercise: WIFE, ask your husband/fiance either during courtship or after wedding to take you to her mother’s abode – Make a decree and a covenant there
I will bring this man good all the days of his life I will not be a thorn in his flesh. His life is a project in my hand that will never fail… let the man know that you are the best thing that has ever happened to him.
- A place of Comfort – When your husband sees that you have started a journey with him to fulfillment, you will definitely bring him comfort. Here, he knows his mother is a blessing to him who wants the best thing for him and that she wants him to be successful and fulfil purpose, once he sees this in you as a wife he will be comforted.
- Until you find yourself in his mother’s tent, where he can feel at home. Talk about anything and everything without you judging or bringing him down, that is when he can love you and you can become his wife. Where he can boldly say that he has found a wife and has obtained favor in the sight of God. Prov 18:22.
A man’s heart is never settled until he can be sure he has found favour in God’s sight – he has found a wife.
When a man tells you my mother will never treat me like that, it signifies his disappointment and hurt.
Treat him like a king he is. You are a Queen when you acknowledge him as your king. Your children are princes and princesses, who will be respected and honourably valued in the society.
