Despite Jacob got the blessing from his father, did he walk in the blessing?
I think the first question we should treat is, if his mother had not tricked, would he had gotten the blessing?
Now to answer the latter, I will posit a clearer picture with a question; the blessing he got, didn’t he needed the blessing of the angel to fully walk in it? Whatever you get through unholy means; deceit, tipping, bribery cannot take you to the promised land, instead it will slow you down.
Jacob’s presence in Panddan-aram was not by accident, but he was not supposed to spend such a long time there. Because of Jacob’s deceit, he found himself in the wrong location, in a strange land. Hence, the blessing was in disguise not working optimally for him. It took the intervention of the blessing of the angel for him to walk in the reality of his blessing.
When you observe systematic and continuous failure in your life, please ask God if you are in the right place. Peradventure you are in the wrong place, may you be relocated to the right place of your destiny in Jesus name.
Jesus had to change his location to keep him alive. Matthew 14:23 “After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.”
Honestly wrong place of destiny can cause someone’s death. Ask Jonah, it took God’s intervention for him not to die.
The Israelite’s were in Egypt for 430years as against what God said in Genesis 15:13 (400years). So, when their time was over, a king came, who did not give himself to history, hence, he did not know Joseph and treated the people of Israel with cruelty. When you are going through a tough time with your boss at work or landlord, inquire from God, if it’s time for change of location?
Back to the first question, Isaac requested for the venison because God already saw the scheming in the heart of Rebecca. Do you really think Isaac doesn’t know it was Jacob that will be the carrier of the blessing? God would have told him too, anyone whom God has blessed, no one can curse. In Genesis 28:1-4, Isaac blessed Jacob again. In essence, Jacob would still have received the blessing. But this deceit made Jacob stayed in a strange land for 20years of his useful years when he should have started the journey to his greatness. God would still have done what he said, no matter what. Numbers 23 from verse 19 makes it very clear…if He has said it, He will do it.
When your location is not right, your blessing might be delayed.
