There is A King in You Series II: The King’s Business

Every child of God need to pay attention to the parable of the talent. It will give you the wisdom to avoid envy and pay attention to your management skill. The capacity of what you have is dependent on what you can manage. God gave you a seed so you can return fruit. That is why He said BE FRUITFUL, not be SEEDFUL! Genesis 1:28

God has injected a seed into you that should produce fruit. This can be done through adequate management.

What then is management? I stumbled on this definition, Management is the optimal way to accomplish tasks and achieve goals, with the process of Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, and Controlling. Note the word OPTIMAL. The optimal here means best or most appropriate way. Let us then infer that, Management is the ability to optimally use your gift to achieve the original purpose. When this is achieved, trust me, you will stand before kings, you will be fulfilled and you will impart lives.

I want to point out some things about gift and skill. Your work is your gift, your job is your skill. The bible establishes that if you want to be sought after by kings and great men, your gift is what creates that room for you, Proverbs 18:16. The gift of Joseph landed him in the king’s presence to demand for the manifestation of his purpose. The gift of Mary made her so popular in all generations because she carried the saviour of the world in her womb(gift of God). What gift do you have? Are you using it well and maximally? Is it birthing fulfilment for you? Is it making room for you? There is difference between gift and skill, but when both are infused, it birth satisfaction, joy, and fulfilment. You are born with your gift (work), you learn skill (job). You can get fired in a job, you cannot get fired from your work. You can change job, you cannot change work (gift) because the bible says, the gift of God is without repentance. Romans 11:29

The parable in Matthew 25:19-30 explains that if you fail to manage anything; gift, talent, idea, even breath of life you will loose it. If you are a good manager, God entrusts more to your hands, and if you are a bad manager, He will take it away from you.

God is the best businessman I’ve ever seen. He wanted to gain the whole world, He sowed the seed of His son. He needed a prophet and found a willing woman (Hannah) I Samuel 1:11 Why do you think Jesus asked that the crumbs of twelve baskets be packed, rather than leave it to waste? God won’t give you the breakthrough(business, marriage, ministry, career…) you have been praying for until you have what it takes and the skill to manage it.

For example, if you are of marriageable age and you are not married yet, your prayer should be, Father, make me a good home manager. If God knows you can manage a home, He will never deny you of it. But then, it starts by managing well the friendship He gave you? Management always attracts resources.

Management is the skill for sustainability and fulfilment of God’s gift in us. When you find out that you have all it takes, continue building capacity and pray. God will work things out in your favour Romans 8:28. He will give you the home you so dreamt of. He will give you the success you desire.

Confession: I am a great manager. Whatever God puts in my hand shall be greatly managed and well converted to fulfilment.

Prayer: Father, whatever you commit in my hand, help me to be fruitful, multiply and replenish in it in Jesus name.
