Whenever we want to embark on a project or create a template, we always have an end in mind. Whenever a tailor wants to sow, he/she has an end in mind before starting. Whenever a woman wants to cook, she has an end in mind. Whenever we want to start a journey, we always have an end in mind. In essence, everything we do has a proposed end; from schooling, to getting a job, to getting married, including serving God.
The question, when our plans did not arrive at desired destination or bring about desired results, what do we do? We get so pained and blame so many things including ourselves and loved ones for not doing it well. Can you then imagine the same with God after man fell in Genesis 3? Do you think this is what God willed for man? Not at all. He wished much more…to have a close fellowship and relationship with us. But, all of that vanished in a twinkling of an eye when man fell.
Let’s check the account of man’s creation. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [b]moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28
Have you ever wondered why God gives instructions and why such a sin as disobedience can make one to loose one’s purpose/destiny? Oh! Yes! God is an excellent God and He doesn’t want any of His creation to get marred. If that happens, God will defend it with all that He has.
But there is much to everything happening to us than to say, it’s a coincidence. How can we know what this signifies? How can man handle such? Watch out in the next post.
