The Royal Scepter

Hebrews 1:8-9 says8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom.9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Royalty is not a gift nor is it transferable. It is who you are. It is the YOU. It is where you belong. Meanwhile, as inseparable as royalty is to the royal household, not all get hold of the scepter. The scepter is the authority to rule or symbol of a ruling clan/individual. And in the Kingdom we belong to, our scepter is the scepter of Righteousness. 

A man becomes a part of a royal family if; he is born into that family or a woman who is married to the royal household. Meghan became part of the royal household because of her marriage with Prince Harry. It is the same in the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is a royal empire of the Most High and for anyone to be a part of that royalty, he/she must be BORN into the FAMILY. This can be achieved by been BORN AGAIN. A man is born again when he/she gives his/her life to Jesus Christ and surrender to His Lordship. Jesus is the only way to become part of the King of kings Royal Family. Jesus’ blood is the only licensed blood to be a royal lineage. Jesus’s life is the only life that guarantees our kingship.

How will I know I am a bonafide member of this Kingdom? Verse 9 of our text says; Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.When you love to walk righteously by doing what is just and right, knowing your limits and boundaries as bonafide Kingdom citizen and child of God. Knowing what is right is not a matter of been a moralist, but been a spiritual being who knows the devil comes but to steal, kill and destroy as recorded in John 10:10, and that knowledge makes him to guard him/herself with the full armour of God according to Ephesians 6:10-18. This will further be sustained by trusting God as recorded in Psalm 127:1-3, and Ephesians 6:18
Philippians 4:8 says; “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.” Act in such manner.

Now that I am sure I am part of the Kingdom, how do I know I have the royal scepter. The beauty about it is that, everyone in this Kingdom have a scepter, but it is not released until it is realized. How do I mean, YOUR PURPOSE ON EARTH IS YOUR SCEPTER. Your call…where you function effortlessly. You are a ruler in it once you know the WHAT, the HOW, and the WHERE.

Get your purpose! Ready! Go! Your purpose is indeed your scepter and you rule in your world of calling as God gives you the grace. May His grace be sufficient for you in Jesus name. Amen. And may the enemy not take your scepter from you in Jesus name.

Confession: I am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; I will shew forth the praises of him who hath called me out of darkness into His marvelous light in Jesus name.

Prayer: Father, help me to maintain my royal status in the heavenly Kingdom both here on earth and also make it to Heaven in Jesus name. Amen
