I Love Her

I Love Her

We have all enjoyed love in our lives one time or the other by someone that cares for us; husband, wife, mother, father, friend, uncle, auntie…whether we deserve it or not, they showed it somehow. And have you ever wondered why someone will love you with so much love and care. At the same time, we might have experienced hurt in the life of someone that profess to love us.

In view of this, we need to know that we are specially loved by Christ, although we know this in our minds, but often we don’t live that way , but we are surely His bride.. This was made known in:

Revelation 19:7(NIV)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.

2 Corinthians 11:2 (NKJV)
2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
God is everything to us, and above all;
• God’s love is revealed to us through Jesus Christ
• God’s love is poured into us through the Holy Spirit
• God’s love is steadfast and unchanging
• God’s love comforts and protects us
• God’s love propels and compels us to love one another

Many of us grow up doubting the love of God because of the relationships we have with others. Broken relationships, hurt from others, or even our own bad choices that cause us to doubt why God would choose to love us. Sometimes church teachings even misguide us into thinking that we need to earn God’s love by behaving or acting “good enough”. God demonstrated the greatest act of love when Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. We no longer have to work toward being loved, it is given freely for all.

A bride of Christ is someone who has surrendered and given their lives to Christ. Jesus is also saying to you today, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I died for you and gave myself for you. Surrender your life to me, I will make you my bride and your life will be glorious.

Confession: This week, I will take a moment to meditate on the Scriptures about God’s love and ask the Lord to show me how I can reflect His love to others in my life.

Prayer: Father, as your bride that you love so much, help me to end well and also show forth your love to others.
