Offering a helping hand can make a tremendous impact in the lives of others. It is a simple act that displays compassion, empathy, and a willingness to support those in need. Whether it is lending a listening ear, providing physical assistance, or offering guidance, a helping hand can bring comfort, strength, and hope to those who are facing difficult circumstances.
There is a natural inclination within human beings to connect and care for one another. Helping someone in their time of need not only benefits them but also cultivates a sense of fulfillment and purpose within ourselves. It is an opportunity to demonstrate that we are God’s creation. What will Jesus do? Jesus goes about doing good to all and sundry.
By providing a helping hand, we reflect God’s love and grace to others. Galatians 6:2 encourages us to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” When we lend a helping hand, we lighten the load for those facing challenges or hardships, just as Christ lightened the burdens of the brokenhearted. Lifting other people’s burden is a show of help, and when you lift another person’s burden, God lifts your burden in return. Mordecai is a character in the Bible, who signifies a man of honour indeed. No wonder God made it possible for the King to honour him in Esther 6:10. He is a man who has a goal for his cousin, Esther, why? Because he knows that she is a great child and can deliver a Kingdom from destroyer. Not only did Mordecai helped Esther to be who God wants her to be, he also ensure she rose up to it, and deliver an entire race from wickedness and destruction. Esther 4:14.
What happens, when people around refuse to help, you become lonely. You can be surrounded with people, yet lonely. That happens when you are surrounded by known strangers. People you are close to yet you can’t talk to them, nor are they ready to render help. Such known strangers can be your mum, dad, sister, brother, friend, even husband/wife… When you can’t get to share your day-to-day activities/feeling with someone close, there is a problem. I can imagine how Esther would have felt when Mordecai came home with the idea of contesting for “queenship”. Esther was also obedient and submissive. Are you accountable to someone or you are on your own? Be around people that truly care and can help you. By being a helping hand, you can attract helpers to yourself, for whatever a man sows, he will reap.
While helping hands bring temporary relief, they can also inspire lasting change. By equipping others with resources, skills, and knowledge, we empower them to overcome challenges and realize their potential. It is not just about addressing immediate needs, but about creating sustainable solutions and fostering personal growth.

Every great person has been helped by someone. Everyone that will be great will be helped by someone.
When someone needs your help, render it.
When someone needs your time, give it…
The man in charge of the new maiden for the king, Hegai, helped Esther, Esther 2:8-9
Help somebody, then your living will not be in vain. God desires that we all help other people including those who do bad to us and despitefully use us. Matthew 5:44
I knew the story of a lady who was a house help. She noticed her boss’ husband was sick, and cure has proof abortive. This girl was thinking how she could help, but she only knows one way… She walked up to her madam and told her she would like to pray for her husband. She hesitated, but later agreed. After the prayer, the man got healed after five days.
Your hands are full of HELP. There is help in your hand, please render it. Show kindness. Be nice and be intentional with it.
Whether you are great or not, you can help someone.
Whether you are young or old, someone can benefit from your help.
Whatever position or post you occupy, HELP SOMEBODY!
Let us remember the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37, where a stranger extended a helping hand to a wounded man on the road, setting an example of compassion and selflessness for all of us. This story reminds us that it is not enough to simply know about the needs of others; we must take action and be a helping hand to those we encounter in our daily lives.
The great helper is the Almighty God. He alone can help your helper to help you.
Always ask for His help everytime you see someone in need that you can help. When you look up to Him, he makes man look for you to help you. Just believe in Him, trust Him, have faith in Him and be determined to do His will.
Confession: I receive grace to be of help to as many as God sends to me.
Prayer: Father, help me to be of help to everyone around me and send help to me as well in Jesus name.
