When God created man (male/female) in the beginning, He gave us both collective and individual responsibility. That’s a whole teaching…loading…
According to Genesis 1:28-30, God gave us a collective responsibility, and in Genesis 2, we found some of man’s responsibility as it was in the beginning; They are; work and nurturing. The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. Gen. 2:15 (NIV)
God gave the male intelligence and authority. The authority here can also signify power (strength), but there is a kind of power man truly needs. This power is what I called CONFIDENCE/EGO. What defines a man’s ego is the presence of a weaker vessel, until the woman came, man does not have anything to compare his strength with. Women are truly a weaker vessel, in that they are fragile because of the components in their body structure and man has a way to fill that void. Hence, man is both intelligent and powerful. The intelligence is from God, while the power is from woman. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof… Man is made completely wholesome.
He was created with glory, which is the presence of God, but lacks power. Man is typically weak, and I don’t mean that in a demeaning manner. God saw that man needs more than this and said in verse 18, it is not a good thing for him to be alone, he needs strength, he needs power, hence God introduced power to man (the woman).
The man alone is glory, but he needs power to dominate and exercise his dominion. God made the woman to be the carrier of the power that will be used by man, the man with the woman is power. In other words, the man is as powerful as the woman beside him and vice versa. When a woman submit to the man, she automatically gives him power to exhibit his glory. And when the reverse is the case, the man can easily fail.
It is important at this point to note that getting power alone cannot be sufficient for a completeness, because power can be misused and mischannelled, that is why glory (Christ) is so important. Example; Jezebel to Ahab is a great strength, but because Ahab lacks the person of God, he ended up in destruction. Another example is Esther to Ahasuerus, God saw that the hatred Haman had for the Jews can destroy the kingdom of Ahasuerus and sent Esther there, Ahasuerus almost ended up like Pharaoh, but the presence of Esther gave him strength and power to make the right decision that not only saved God’s people, but also brought peace to his kingdom. Some men thought they can get it done without the woman, they ended up getting their fingers burnt, some weren’t lucky, they die in the process. The power a woman carries is dependent on what the outcome of the man’s action will be.

Secondly, though the woman is power, the man activates the power. That is, the man is the power the woman has. Does it sound like a twist? A warrior is as powerful as the battle he wins, this implies that a warrior will know how powerful he is through the battle he wins. A woman (power/strength) can be dormant if the power is not activated. Life is a battlefield, and you need to put your power into use by involving your woman (wife) or your mother as in the case of a young man/single man. I don’t have a mother! God has placed someone/people around you as a mother (godly parents teaching you godly values). Victory is assured to any man who not only involve God in his ordeal, but also the woman in his life.
The man is created with glory, but until he submits to the authority of Jesus, then the glory manifests, on the other hand, the woman is created with power, and until she submits to the man, then will the power be formidable. It runs from the top; Christ to the husband, the husband to the wife. Put differently, the man is the shadow of Christ, while the woman is the shadow of the man. No woman can boast of a life without her husband because he is the strength she carried, neither can a man boast of a life without Christ.
We have the ability to do what we do because God made it possible. When we put God in charge, we are stable, focused and formidable to bring about the victory needed in our lives. When we put the right thing in its place, everything works well. Do not allow the enemy to exchange your roles, we all have roles to play in the script of life, play yours perfectly well.
Confession: I have the image of God and the life I live is the life of Christ. I walk in victory and honour. I am a carrier of God’s presence and glory.
Prayer: Father! Thank you for creating me uniquely as a man or woman. I receive grace to act in the capacity of who you have created me.
